I recently had the pleasure of meeting Hrvoje a gardener from Croatia now living in London. He paints in his studio in London and showed me a few pieces of his work. There is a real stillness with his work and a sense of close intimacy that you feel toward not only for the people portrayed in the portraits but in the landscape scenes also.
