Last Saturday i was invited down to Greenwich to help support the Metro sexual heath group for men and women, with their annual DRAG RACE. Its quite simple you dress in drag, line up, the whistle blows and you run as fast as you can in heals around the block (i think there is a minimum height of heal required). The first one back wins, with their heals still on both feet.
During the evening they are selling raffle tickets and betting slips for who is going to win with out braking an ankle. i didn't see one but i guess saint johns ambulance were at close hand in case of any injuries.
The mayoress came and started the race and as a blur of wigs and frocks went by the crowd scream for their chosen runner, it looks a bit like the London marathon, next year there should a a subsection in the race for drag, someone should get hold of the organisers.
To help raise some money for Metro as it doesn't get loads of funding and this is their main fundraiser of the year, i offered to be auctioned up, for a date with Ashley Ryder.
The bidding started slow until i took my top of then after that slowed down i did what any one would have done and got my bum out.
Well i made £130 pounds in all and I'm very pleased that i could help Metro as the support they give to men and women of all ages in vital.
Its was a good night, the only thing i missed out on was one of the burgers which were being cooked by the lovely Candy, Next year i will.
